With an emphasis on the support of higher education institutions and K-12 schools and districts, PowerUpEDU equips educational stakeholders with the skills, strategies, and pedagogical approaches to maximize instructional technology.

Maggie Phillips
Maggie is an innovative educator from the Atlanta area with a passion for dynamic teaching and learning. After teaching students at the elementary school level, Maggie served as an instructional coach, partnering with teachers to amplify student learning through high-impact instructional practices. Maggie next served the Cobb County School District as a lead Technology Training/Integration Specialist, working alongside students, teachers, and leaders to leverage technology for learning. During this time, Maggie also led and facilitated the Teacher Support and Coaching Endorsement Program, preparing teachers and school leaders to be a catalyst for growth through coaching practices. Maggie holds a Masters in Instructional Technology and holds an Online Teaching Endoresement, Teacher Leader Endorsement, Coaching Endorsement and Reading Endorsement. She is the recipient of the ISTE Young Educator Network award as well as Teacher of the Year. Maggie brings an out-of-the-box, fun, and meaningful approach to all professional learning and ensures that learning opportunities are maximized through collaboration, exploration, and engagement.

Abby Roberts
Abby Roberts is an experienced educator with a desire to equip and empower educators to effectively integrate technology into instruction, while engaging students and improving learning outcomes. Prior to joining the PowerUpEDU team in January 2023, Abby was an elementary school teacher for seven and a half years. She left the classroom in 2021 to become a Microsoft Learning Consultant, which allowed her to help students, educators, and district level leaders utilize Microsoft tools most effectively in a variety of settings. While teaching, Abby also completed her M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction: Educational Technology and Online Learning from Liberty University and is a Microsoft Master Trainer and Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert.

Shoney Brice
Shoney’s professional background includes a broad range of experience in education. She spent her early years in the classroom, teaching at both the primary and upper elementary levels. Shoney was then selected by a Georgia school district to provide literacy coaching to teachers at the school level, eventually advancing to an administrative-level position where she was an academic and literacy coach to teachers throughout the district across all grade levels. Excellence in educational literacy has long held a special place in Shoney’s heart. She has pursued this cause as a frequent presenter at literacy conferences in the Southeast. Shoney has completed her M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction with a Specialization in Literacy from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA. Shoney’s extensive educational background with a special focus on literacy offers tremendous value to schools and districts.
